Nelson's Market Proudly Supports the Wine with Dinner Campaign!

Minnesota consumers have long been denied the convenience of buying wine in grocery stores. Now, consumers are fighting back by supporting the Wine With Dinner bill. This legislation would allow Minnesota to join the 33 other states – including Wisconsin, Iowa and South Dakota – that already allow the sale of wine in grocery stores.

Over the last five years, the liquor monopoly in Minnesota has blocked this consumer-friendly legislation. They have fought hard to protect the monopoly they currently enjoy at the expense of consumers. We need your help in fighting against this powerful special interest group.

Our Neighboring States

Thirty-three other states - including Minnesota's immediate neighbors - allow the sale of wine in grocery stores. Minnesota's outdated liquor laws cost consumers $444 million each year when shoppers in neighboring states are spared the unfair burden of a liquor industry monopoly and have the convenience of picking up a bottle of wine at the grocery store with the rest of their dinner items.
