Help Your Community Through Nelson's Food Shelf Support!
Being a responsible community steward means full integration with local outreaches. At Nelson's we have many different programs put together to help keep our local food shelves full for the entire year! Operation: Community Food Share
Local food shelves are always in need of product, this year give them the opportunity to choose exactly how they are going to fill their needs!
In the two weeks before Thanksgiving and Christmas, Nelson's Market will be matching your food shelf donations! For every dollar donated, Nelson's will match twenty five cents. The food shelf will then receive a Gift Card to purchase whatever product they are in the greatest need for!

Food Shelf Bag Drive
In the month of March, and in times of need throughout the year, Nelson's Market offers a $10 donation bag to the local food shelf with a value of at least $15!
It's such an easy way to help support local families in need. Nelson's works with the local food shelves to check and see what product they are in the most need of, and then we fill those bags with that product. Such a simple way to help!

Other Ways To Help
Throughout the year there are many other ways to help out the food shelf. We will always have collection bins within our stores so that at any time you can easily drop off non-perishable food items that the local food shelves will be able to pick up after Stuff-A-Truck events. We also accept, at any time, a check donation written out to the food shelf, of which 100% of the funds donated would go directly to the food shelf.
