Since 1991, Nelson's Markets has been donating much needed funding to hundreds of non-profit organizations in East-Central Minnesota through its 1% Community Cash Program.
It's Easy! All organizations need to do is collect Nelson's Receipts from their members. They then turn them in to Nelson's four times a year. Nelson's, in turn, sends them a check equal to 1% of the total amount of the receipts. There is no limit to the amount an organization can earn. The more receipts they turn in, the more they receive in funding!
These funds can go towards anything that the Non-Profit wishes; Scholarships, Instruments, Mission Trips or General Funding. Through our Community Cash, we have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to local non-profit organizations. But what really matters to us isn’t the amount, it’s the stories that are told to us about the lives we have been honored to touch.

Program Guidelines: - All receipts must be dated within the calendar quarter that is due. No exceptions.
- All receipts receipts need to be added up, totaled, and dropped off at Guest Services.
- Nelson's will total receipts and payment will be in the form of a check, to be sent at a reasonable time after receipts have been turned in.
- Receipts are gathered by the organization on a quarterly basis and turned in the first full month following the calendar quarter, by the 20th of that month:

- This program excludes any Tobacco products, anything charged, postage, money orders, gift cards, and ticket sales. Cash register receipts redeemed must be from Nelson's Guests for actual purchases. No redemption by Nelson's personnel of excessive amounts of receipts will be allowed and will invalidate all receipts from that quarter for that particular organization. Nelson's reserves the right to change any or all guidelines at any time.
- Once receipts have been accounted for, Nelson's will make payment in the form of a check, to be sent at a reasonable time after receipts have been turned in.
